What we collect
- The calculator. Your answers stay in your own browser. We don't receive or store them unless you sign up for emails.
- Email sign-up. If you sign up, we collect your first name, email address, a summary of your calculator result (for example your current bank and your best match) and your answers to the sign-up questions: which types of cover and accounts you have, which rewards programmes you're on and whether you have a financial adviser. These questions are optional. We use the answers only to send you more relevant updates and we don't share them with anyone.

Why we use it
Only to send you the monthly Moola Back rewards update and related tips you asked for. We only email you if you ticked the consent box. We don't sell your information.
Who processes it
We use AWeber to store our email list and send emails. AWeber is based in the United States, so your name, email address and tags are transferred outside South Africa. AWeber is bound by its own data protection commitments, and we only share what's needed to send you emails.
Your rights
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
- Ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
- Object to us processing your information.
- Complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za) if you're unhappy with how we handle your information.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After you unsubscribe we keep only what's needed to make sure we don't email you again.
